The Cinta Costera is a recreational area right dab in the center of the city. It is located on Avenida Balboa and is visited by thousands of people each day. Some go to skate, others to ride bikes, and some go to sit leisurely and unwind as they catch the ocean’s cool breeze. http://cintacostera.com/
Morning has broken and wherever you look you find beauty. Panama is a thriving city in the middle of a diverse biosphere where nature virtually jumps out at you. This beautiful hummingbird was captured on film just a few minutes outside the city in Gamboa. If you are a birdwatcher, Panama is the place to visit. http://www.pipelineroad.org/
Panama has grown by leaps and bounds in the past few years. Every day new buildings are unveiled and it seems that the city’s architects try to outdo themselves by implementing unique and innovative designs. This is the famous “corkscrew” building which is located on Calle 50. It is a definite must see for anyone visiting the city.
Panama is an impressive city, filled with modern skyscrapers and framed by natural beauty. This picture testifies to some of the wonderful qualities that have kept me here for over 30 years.
When someone mentions Panama, two things might come to mind. Some people might automatically think of Panama City, Florida and wild parties at the beach during spring break. If you have a wider view of the world, the image of the Panama Canal might jump into your mind. This ex-pat has been here for over thirty years and I can attest to the fact that Panama is so much more than just a canal. Since the Panama Canal is probably the most well known tourist destination here in Panama, I’ve decided to share a photo of the Miraflores Lock as a large ship makes its transit and is slowly lifted to the next level. http://www.pancanal.com/eng/
