A little cat nap under a shady tree is a great way to beat the heat and restore your energy. This little cat has found a superb location to take his little afternoon siesta, right dab in the middle of Plaza Catedral in Casco Viejo.

If you love adventures, Panama is a great place to visit. You can river raft, hike, climb mountains, see exotic birds, ski in two oceans, and transit the Panama Canal all in one day. You can also brave the concrete jungle in search of incredible bargains. If you are planning a trip to Panama and are looking for a good tour company, Panama Great Adventures is an excellent choice. The owner/operator, Maria Isabel Herrera, is an efficient professional who is honest and reliable. The pictures below were taken on a recent tour I took to Gamboa with some friends with Maria Isabel as our guide. You may contact her by calling 507-6614-8191 or send her an email at email@example.com. Check out the company’s website www.panamagreatadventures.com
These relics from the past are on display in the City of Knowledge. They are remnants from the old military bases in Clayton where U.S. soldiers once resided. Now this area has been put to a better use. It is the home of many international organizations and schools.
These two Kuna ladies take a break from selling their handcrafts and indulge in a little friendly conversation.
If you want to sell a product, you must advertise. We all know this to be a “truth”. However, no one ever said you had to spend a fortune on advertising a product in order to sell it. You only need to make sure you message is loud and clear. I think the person who “created” this advertisement did an excellent job at that.
As I walked towards Casablanca Restaurant in Casco Viejo, something a little out of the ordinary caught my eye. There sitting in an open window was this little fella. He sat there perched in the window, unperturbed as passerbys pointed him out, laughing as they took his picture. I must confess, I was one of them. He remained quite dignified and took it all in stride.
If you are walking around the Casco Viejo on the weekends you will probably want to check out the flea market in Plaza Catedral. There you can find a nice selection of handcrafts made by national and international artisans.
I took another ride on Panama’s new Metro system. This time I went all the way to the end of the line in Los Andes, which is above ground. What would normally take an hour or two to travel (depending on traffic) was covered in about 15 minutes. Look below at the street and you can see for yourself what the traffic is like in this area. This Mega Project is definitely worth its weight in gold.
What a spectacular sight to watch this lunar eclipse. The skies over Panama were clear as a bell and I was able to capture this beautiful process with my camera. Awesome!
